On September 15th, two Youth Zone staff members took eight young people to the Pirates game against the Cubs at PNC Park. While at the game, everyone grabbed concessions from Faves on First, one of the many restaurants inside the ballpark. 

The group enjoyed the lively atmosphere of the ballpark and the chance to spend time together outside of the Youth Zone’s drop-in center. “I was excited to come to the game to get out of my house, do something, and see some of my friends I don’t get to see often,” shared a participant who doesn’t get the chance to come downtown often. 

When asked about their favorite part of the day, the group unanimously agreed the Pierogi Race stole the show. Energy peaked as everyone rooted for their favorite pierogi to cross the finish line first. 

All in all, it was a fun and memorable outing for everyone involved.
