At Auberle’s 412 Youth Zone, every milestone matters. On June 26th this year’s annual graduation celebration honored participants who reached important educational and career goals, including graduating from high school, college, trade school, or receiving a training certification. 

With the theme “Race Towards Your Future,” the event brought together the pride of graduation with the fun of a summer picnic. Graduates, staff, family, friends, and supporters gathered to recognize the hard work of our young adults and the exciting road ahead. 

The day was full of energy. Friendly competition was all around as participants tested their skills on a massive 70-foot inflatable obstacle course. Young people had a chance to get revenge on staff as a group of 5 brave volunteers agreed to get splashed in the dunk tank. Even more competition happened over Corn Hole and Ladder Ball as youth and staff teamed up to see who would come out on top. 

The celebration also featured a variety of interactive stations that brought even more energy and excitement to the day. Everyone enjoyed face painting and one of our favorites, Mike the Balloon Guy, whose incredible talent turned simple balloons into everything from swords and animals to imaginative creations dreamed up by guests. Our graduates also received one custom airbrushed T-shirt to help them commemorate their achievements. These interactive experiences gave everyone the chance to express themselves, share plenty of smiles, and create joyful memories that will last long after graduation day. 

The highlight of the afternoon was the drawing of the raffle baskets. Everyone gathered around to see whose ticket was going to be pulled for each prize. Among the prizes was a Lego set, remote controlled drone, passes for Kennywood, a Pittsburgh themed gift basket, and a $250 gift card. 

The heart of the day was recognizing each graduate’s achievement. Every diploma, degree, trade school completion, and certification represented commitment, growth, and the courage to keep moving forward. 

Congratulations to all of this year’s 412 Youth Zone graduates. You have crossed an important finish line, and the next race is already waiting. Keep moving forward and keep showing the world what is possible.
